Candida Crewe

Candida Crewe was born in London. She has written six novels (published by Collins, Heinemann and Century) as well as one work of nonfiction, Eating Myself, (Bloomsbury). Her fifth novel,  Falling Away, was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Memorial Award.  She has also regularly written columns, features, interviews and book reviews. She won the Catherine Pakenham Award for Journalism and was a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Oxford University.

James Dunford Wood

James Dunford Wood was born in the Isle of Wight and lives in west London. After completing a degree in Art History, he began his career in the film industry and went on to build businesses as an entrepreneur in publishing, travel and technology.  The Big Little War was first published in 2023 and is being republished in an extended edition to mark the 85th anniversary of the Anglo-Iraqi War. He also writes thrillers under the pen name JD Wood.

Melissa Jones

Melissa Jones was born in London and worked in film and television before becoming a writer. Her first novel, Cold in Earth ('A quietly chilling account of the destruction of a family', Sunday Telegraph), was followed by Sick at Heart ('Compulsive', The Times) and The Hidden Heart of Emily Hudson ('A wonderful novel, The Independent). She lives near the sea in Sussex and has two sons.

Conrad Williams

Conrad Williams was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lives in the Brecon Beacons, Wales, UK. After a degree in English and Law at Trinity College, Cambridge, he qualified as a barrister and later became a film, TV and theatre agent and then a novelist. He is the author of three highly acclaimed novels published by Bloomsbury: Sex and Genius, The Concert Pianist and Unfinished Business and various of his short stories have been published or broadcast.
